Golf Team Generator: Fair Teams by Handicap
Paste your group below, one player per line, with a handicap after each name. The generator snake-drafts the field by handicap so the two teams land as close as the math allows. Fair teams are the whole trip: if one side is clearly better on paper, the weekend is over before the first tee.
Generator
How it works
Players are ordered by handicap, then dealt in a snake: 1st and 4th to one team, 2nd and 3rd to the other, repeating down the list. It is the same trick captains use on draft night, minus the arguing. A spread within a few strokes is close enough; formats and allowances do the rest of the fairness work.
Setting up a full trip? The Ryder Cup trip guide covers captains and draft night (more fun than any generator), and the scoreboard template gives the weekend its board.
Run the whole trip
AGI Golf runs draft night live, applies the strokes, and keeps the trip score on the house TV.
